Making the Grade: Nick Jensen Excited About Jump to the Pro Ranks
Nick Jensen has very quietly become one of the Red Wings rising stars on the blueline. The 6-foot-1, 193 pound defenseman won’t be finishing his finance degree anytime soon after deciding to turn pro at the end of last season. Jensen is about 36 credits shy of earning his degree, but he still plans to finish it over the next few years.

2013 Red Wings Development Camp Teams Announced
The Red Wings have announced the practice teams for the 2013 development camp. Below is a breakdown of the team Yzerman and team Lidstrom. To view the full roster for the camp click here. you can also view the full schedule here. The two teams will complete off-ice workouts and on-ice drills rotating between morning and afternoon for both sessions. The Detroit Red Wings have announced their 2013 development camp roster to be held at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI beginning on July 10th. The team features all of the Red Wings draft choices from the 2013 draft including Tyler Bertuzzi, Mattias Janmark-Nylen, Anthony Mantha, Marc McNulty, Hampus Melen, Zach Nastasiuk, David Pope, and Mitchell Wheaton (listed but unlikely to participate due to injuries). Barclay Goodrow one of 15 players invited to the Red Wings 2013 Development Camp
The Detroit Red Wings have invited 15 free agents to their annual Development Camp in Traverse City beginning July 10th.
Among those auditioning are Alex Goodbranson, Kurt Etchegary, Jamien Yakubowski and Barclay Goodrow. The Red Wings, who are close to the 50 contract limit, will take a long look at the free agents but would likely need to free space or defer contracts in order to sign players.

Red Wings Finalize 2013 Development Camp Schedule
The schedule for the 2013 Detroit Red Wings Development camp at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI has been finalized. The camp, which runs July 9th through July 16th, will feature many of the organization’s top prospects as well as the 2013 NHL draft class. With many of the organizations prospects having extended playoff runs, the camp will run on a compressed schedule. Tentative Dates for the Red Wings Development Camp Released
With the NHL lockout all but over, the Detroit Red Wings have begun making plans for the upcoming year. While they have not released dates for the 2013 NHL prospect tournament and Red Wings training camp, they have set preliminary dates for their next prospect development camp. The development camp, currently slated for July 12 through the 20th in Traverse City, MI, will showcase the organizations top prospects and 2013 NHL entry draft selections.
