More than Moves: Jurco Proving His Skills on the Ice
Tomas Jurco wants to be known as a 
hockey player and not as a youtube sensation. The 6-foot-2, 193 pound right wing showcases his stick handling skills in videos that have generated thousands of views.
“I don’t really do that stuff anymore,” he said. “I filmed that for one competition. It’s more about hockey now than about those moves.”

Weary Pulkkinen Soaking Up First Red Wings Experience
Teemu Pulkkinen traveled more than 22 hours on Friday to participate in his first Red Wings development camp. Despite the jet lag, the Vantaa, Finland native showed glimpses of his offensive talent during Saturday’s opening scrimmage.
“I am enjoying it so far, but it’s a little tough because I traveled yesterday,” Pulkkinen said. “This morning we had some (fitness) testing and now this one hour scrimmage. It’s a tough day, but I think every day is going to be better.”

2012 Development Camp Practice Teams
The Red Wings have announced the practice teams for the 2012 development camp. Below is a breakdown of the team Zetterberg and team Lidstrom. Wings Add Estonian Forward, Rooba, to Development Camp Roster
The Red Wings have announced a change to their 2012 development camp roster adding Robert Rooba. The 6-foot-3, 198 pound left wing replaces Vladislav Shalimov who will no longer be attending.
Rooba, who is a client of former Red Wing Igor Larionov, played last year for the Espoo Blues junior team in Finland where he scored 14 goals and 30 points in 39 games. Plans Take Shape for Bryan Rufenach Day – July 10th
Bryan Rufenach, despite his recent tragic and untimely death while traveling through Europe, will continue to be a huge part of the 2012 Detroit Red Wings Development Camp. The 23-year-old defenseman was a seventh round selection of the Red Wings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and signed a contract last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.
