Ferraro2Landon Ferraro may be the best Red Wings prospect no one is talking about. The 6-foot, 174 pound center is finally putting up the type of numbers the Red Wings expected after drafting him 32nd overall in the 2009 entry draft. Ferraro was Grand Rapids leading goal scorer this season with 24 goals and third on the team in points with 47. Despite his impressive statistics, he’s almost forgotten behind flashier forward prospects like Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar and Tomas Jurco.

2013 NHL Prospects Tournament and Red Wings Training Camp Schedule Announced

The Detroit Red Wings will be returning to Traverse City, MI to host their annual prospects tournament and training camp at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, Mich. Additionally Centre I.C.E. will also host the Wings annual prospect development camp July 9th through the 17th.
The prospect tournament, which is scheduled for Sept. 5 to 9, will feature entries from eight teams including Buffalo, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota, New York, and St. Louis.
