The Detroit Red Wings have finalized dates for the 2014 Red Wings Development Camp.  The  camp, currently slated for July 4th through the 8th at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI, will showcase the organizations top prospects and 2014 NHL entry draft selections. If Patrick Eaves clears waivers Friday, he will likely be the third NHL forward sent down to Grand Rapids. Jordin Tootoo cleared waivers last week but was only sent down today, while Cory Emmerton was an early casualty of the Wings roster crunch. The moves, while necessary to get Detroit under the salary cap and roster limits, could have a direct impact on the playing time and development of their prospects.

Andrej Nestrasil wants to finally establish himself as an AHL player after two up and down seasons. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound forward played just 50 combined AHL games the last season, spending the bulk of his time with Toledo of the ECHL.

The Detroit Red Wings have announced the lineup for the Red and White game scheduled for September 15th at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. The annual scrimmage is the last major event of training camp before the team begins its exhibition season.
