New York Rangers 2014 Prospect Tournament Roster

NEW_YORK_RANGERS_LOGOThe New York Rangers have announced their 2014 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features recent acquisition Kevin Hayes who opted not to sign with the Chicago before the deadline ultimately becoming a free agent and signing with the Rangers. Also on this years team are offensive minded forwards Richard NejezchelbJosh Nicholls and Anthony Duclair.  Traverse City native and 2014 second round draft pick, Brandon Halverson, will be one of two goalies backstopping the Rangers.

Red Wings Announce 2014 Training Camp Schedule

The Red Wings have announced their complete schedule for the 2014 training camp at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. The camp opens with the annual charity golf outing and reception on September 18th. The first public on-ice activity will take place on at 9:30 am on September 19th. Morning skates and scrimmages will continue until September 20th. An alumni and celebrity hockey game slated for 7:00 pm will cap the activities on the 20th. 2014 NHL Prospect Tournament Schedule Announced

Cup3.jpgThe 2014 NHL Prospects tournament schedule has been finalized. This years tournament will run September 12 – 16 at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. Participating teams include Buffalo, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota, New York and St. Louis. The tournament, which began in 1998, has 440 alumni who have or are currently playing in the NHL for a total of nearly 70,000 NHL games played. The highest scoring alumni include Ilya Kovalchuk, Pavel Datsyuk, Dany Heatley, Henrik Zetterberg, David Legwand, Scott Hartnell, Martin Erat, Alexander Semin and Dan Cleary.

NHL Prospect Tournament 500 Club Adds 8 New Members

Legwand1A total of 35 NHL prospect alumni have played in more the 500 NHL games since the tournaments inception. The NHL prospects tournament has produced 440 NHL alumni to date, but only 8 percent have broken the 500 game mark. Red Wings Invite 25 to 2014 Development Camp

Bord1The Detroit Red Wings have invited 23 free agents to their annual Development Camp in Traverse City beginning July 4th.

Among those auditioning are defensive forward Darby Llewellyn, two-way defender Ryan Obuchowsk, steady defenseman Kevin Clare, once promising defensive forward Cole Bardreau (pictured) and all three members of Colgate University’s “triplet line” comprised of Kyle Baun, Tylor Spink and Tyson Spink. The Red Wings, who are always close to the 50 contract limit, have limited contracts to spare.

2014 Fax Training Camp Ticket Sale Kicks Off July 8th

RWTC logo in JPEG 2014 (1)A fax ticket sale for tickets to the 2014 NHL Prospect Tournament and Detroit Red Wings training camp will begin on July 8, 2014 at 12:00 pm and continue until all tickets are sold. An in person sale is also scheduled on July 7, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This year’s NHL Prospect Tournament is scheduled for September 12th through the 16th. Red Wings training camp runs from September 19th through the 23rd.

ManthaThe Detroit Red Wings will be returning to Traverse City, MI to host their annual prospects tournament and training camp at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, Mich. Additionally Centre I.C.E. will also host the Wings annual prospect development camp July 4th through the 9th.
