On September 13, 2014 Hall of Fame defenseman Mark Howe will sign his book Gordie Howe’s Son: A Hall of Fame Life in the Shadow of Mr. Hockey. The book signing will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. Books will be available onsite at a cost of $16 (unsigned) and $30 (signed) with a limit of two signed books per person. No other memorabilia will be signed at this event.

The Buffalo Sabres have announced their 201 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features the second overall selection in the 2014 NHL draft in Sam Reinhart. Also participating are first round draft choices Joel Armia (2011),  Rasmus Ristolainen (2013) and Nikita Zadorov (2013).  The roster also features three players who have seen time in the NHL including Ristolainen (34 games), Zadorov (7 games), and  Jake McCabe (7 games for Minnesota).

The St. Louis Blues have announced their 2014 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features Robby Fabbri  and Ivan Barbashev who were taken with the 21st and 33rd overall in 2014 draft. Also on the roster is Jaedon Descheneau who netted 98 points (44 goals and 54 assists) last season in the WHL. The Detroit Red Wings have invited seven free agents to the 2014 NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City beginning September 12th. Among those auditioning are five players who attended the Red Wings 2014 Development Camp in July including defensive forward Darby Llewellyn, Joe Hicketts, Hayden Hodgson, Lucas Peressini and Blake Clarke. The Red Wings, who are always close to the 50 contract limit, have limited contracts to spare.

The team features top prospects Andreas Athanasiou, Anthony Mantha and Ryan Sproul. The Minnesota Wild have announced their 2014 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The Dallas Stars have announced their 2014 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features the Stars first round draft picks Julius Honka (2014), Jason Dickinson (2013), and Radek Faksa (2012) . Additionally, the Stars roster features six of the nine players selected at the 2014 NHL entry draft in June. Also on the roster is Ludwig Karlsson who was the prospects acquired from Ottawa in the Jason Spezza trade earlier this summer.

WWKB ESPN Radio (1520 AM) will broadcast  all Buffalo Sabres games at the 2014 NHL Prospect Tournament. The station, which is a local Buffalo station,  will use Paul Hamilton and Brian Duff to provide live play by play coverage. The Sabres game schedule for the tournament is as follows:
