Impact Zone: Riley Sheahan hopes to Increase his Physical play
Riley Sheahan looked like a man among boys playing in the Red Wings opening game of the 2013 NHL prospects tournament against the Minnesota Wild. The 6-foot-2, 212 pound center scored a key goal for the Wings to put the game out of reach Thursday night in Traverse City, MI.

2013 New York Rangers Prospect Tournament Roster
The New York Rangers have announced their 2013 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features high scoring forwards Josh Nicholls and Michael St. Croix. Also included are a pair of skilled Swedes in Jesper Fast and Oscar Lindberg. Making a return to Traverse City is Kyle Jean, who used to play for the Traverse City North Stars of the NAHL, but signed as a free agent with the Rangers after two seasons with Lake Superior State.

Training Camp Alumni and Celebrity Jersey Auction Details Announced
The Alumni and Celebrity game, slated for September 14th at 7:00 pm, will give fans a chance to bid on custom game worn jerseys by the alumni and celebrity squad. The game, which is comprised of two twenty minute periods, will feature game worn jerseys from Chris Osgood, Dallas Drake, Ken Holland, Mike Babcock, Chris Chelios, Kris Draper, Jiri Fischer, Kirk Maltby, and Mickey Redmond among others. The Detroit Red Wings have invited four free agents to their training camp and prospect tournament in Traverse City beginning September 5th. The Red Wings, who are close to the 50 contract limit, will take a long look at the free agents but would likely need to free space or defer contracts in order to sign players. Organizers of the 2013 NHL Prospects Tournament and Detroit Red Wings training camp in conjunction with the Toledo Walleye Boosters Club have designated September 8, 2013 as the second annual ‘Bryan Rufenach day’. A portion of the proceeds of all ticket sales will benefit the Bryan Rufenach Just Skills Camp. The annual camp, based out of Lindsay Ontario and run by the Rufenach family, just completed its second year with over 70 participants between the ages of 7 and 12. The Red Wings have announced their complete schedule for the 2013 training camp at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. The camp opens with the annual charity golf outing and reception on September 11th. The first public on-ice activity will take place on at 9:30 am on September 12th.
